Provisional calendar unveiled for the 2014 STCC

The provisional calendar for the 2014 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship has now been released, starting in May and finishing in September, comprising of seven events for the season.

The STCC will also partner with the RallyX Supercar Scandinavia championship for three rounds of the season.

The seven race calendar sees the season reduced by one event, with no race taking place at the Karlskoga Motorstadion next year.

“We cut down with a contest for STCC on the wishes of the participants,” said STCC president Bob Huzell.

“At the same time, we are expanding the programme this year with rallycross, which will be another exciting feature. The audience will get to see the most excitement that Swedish racing and rallycross has to offer during a single race weekend.”

May 24th – Tierp Arena*
June 7th – Gothenburg City Race
July 13th – Falkenberg
Aug 9th – Ostersund (Alt. Tierp Arena)*
Aug 23rd – Knutstorp
Sept 6th – Solvalla
Sept 20th – Mantorp Park

* Only one of these events will take place
