Luigi Ferrara will drive a Subaru in Dubai

Luigi Ferrara is going to drive a Subaru WRX STI TCR for Top-Run Motorsport at the TCR Middle East season start in Dubai this weekend.

The team has introduced several updates to the car since its last race in Buriram, Thailand, last year.

“The car was significantly improved between our last appearance in the International Series in Thailand and the Monza event,” said team manager Renato Russo. “We can now consider this as the final evolution step. Our main concern was the engine reliability, so we focused our work on this and I have to say that we are happy with the results.”

The team tested at Vallelunga in Italy at the end of December with Ferrara behind the wheel, focussing on race runs.

“We were very pleased with that test. Now at Dubai we have the opportunity to check the car’s performance and reliability in different weather conditions, which is very important for the upcoming season in the International Series,” said Russo.
