Jackson has bought Priaulx BMW 320si

Mat Jackson has purchased Andy Priaulx’s WTCC-winning BMW 320si to race it in the BTCC next year. This is the second year in succession that Jackson’s team has bought Priaulx car. In the BTCC this year, Jackson drove Priaux’s 2006 car.
“These are very exciting times for Jacksons MSport. We’ve had a great first season in the BTCC and with everything we’ve learnt we feel ready to take the next step,” said Jackson in a press release.

Jackson finished seventh in the BTCC 2008 and secured second in the independents trophy. For next year the team is aiming higher.

“We are aiming higher in 2008. The Independent title was within our grasp and we intend to pull out all the stops to achieve the very best results we can. We have a group of very enthusiastic and determined sponsors behind us who are just as hungry for success. I’d once more like to thank them and all the fans who have got behind us in the past 12 months. We look forward to seeing them all again during the 2008 BTCC season.”
