Kaye and Nash to race in Dubai 24 hours
BTCC drivers James Kaye & James Nash will pair up in the Honda Integra Type-R raced by Kaye this year at the Dubai 24 hour race in January.
A host of touring car stars and cars will take part in the race at the Dubai Autodrome on January 14th-15th, which will be the sixth running of the annual endurance event.
James Kaye, who entered the final two rounds of the BTCC in his WRC Developments run Honda Integra, will also race the car in Dubai, along with Triple Eight driver James Nash who competed in his second BTCC season this year. Also driving the car will be Michael Brown, who has raced with WRC Developments’ partner Barwell Motorsport in the Belgian Touring Car Series with team boss Mark Lemmer this season.
A number of other touring car drivers will compete in the endurance event, including Volvo BTCS driver Vincent Radermecker sharing a Mosler run by Gravity Racing, former DTM champion Bernd Schneider in a Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT run by Heico Motorsport, and WTCC independents’ championship drivers Franz Engstler and Kristian Poulsen will team up in an Liqui-Moly Team Engstler run BMW Z4.
Touring car and sportscar regular Duncan Huisman will also compete in a Renault Mégane Trophy car run by Mégane Eurocup outfit Equipe Verschuur, whilst DTM driver Ralf Schumacher’s wife Cora will make up part of a five driver team running a Mini Cooper S at the event.
SUNRED Engineering will also be fielding a pair of SEAT León Supercopa’s, but are yet to confirm their driver line-up.
