The Opel Astra will make its TCR Germany debut this weekend

The OPC Motorsport-developed Opel Astra TCR will make its debut in the German national series this weekend at the Nürburgring, run by the Belgian DG Sport Compétition team.

The team already have experience with the car after a running an entry shared between Pierre-Yves Corthals and Frédéric Caprasse in the TCR Benelux series, and will now run three cars these weekend for Corthals, Swiss driver Jasmin Preisig and Spaniard Jordi Oriola in the German national series.

“We have already competed with the Opel Astra TCR in two successful test races in the TCR Benelux series,” said team principal Christian Juspin.

“We want to show that the Astra TCR will be a strong competitor in the fierce competition of the ADAC TCR Germany series,” he added.
