Josh Files gets pole position for Race 2 as Alex Morgan is disqualified

Wolf Power Racing’s Alex Morgan has been disqualified from yesterday’s qualifying session at Sachsenring. The SEAT driver will start from the back of the grid in both races as the stewards found there were less than two litres of fuel left in his car’s tank, as mandated by the rules.

Morgan’s exclusion means that fellow Brit Josh Files will start tenth in the first race and, more importantly, on pole position for the second race. The Target Competition driver had finished 11th yesterday, meaning he had no access to the reversed grid.

Alex Morgan had finished fifth in qualifying. His starting grid slot will now be taken by Honda Team ADAC Sachsen’s Steve Kirsch.
