Harald Proczyk makes Opel switch as Jaap van Lagen returns to TCR Germany

TCR Germany front runner Harald Proczyk will make a switch from SEAT to Opel for the Hockenheim season finale. The Austrian will be at the wheel of a Lubner Motorsport Opel Astra TCR.

Jaap van Lagen will also return to TCR Germany after his appearance earlier this season at his home race at Zandvoort. The Dutchman will be behind the wheel of a Certainty Racing Team Audi RS 3 LMS, as he raced in the TCR Benelux series at the start of the season, where he won one of the sprint races.

Van Lagen had trouble on his previous visit to TCR Germany, competing with Bas Koeten Racing, after an engine sensor which the car uses in TCR Benelux was deemed illegal and relegated him to the back of the grid, with the team choosing to withdraw rather than risk damage starting at the back of a 40-car strong field.
