Harald Proczyk claims Hockenheim pole position

Harald Proczyk’s switch from SEAT to Opel ahead of this race weekend seem to have worked as the HP Racing driver claimed pole position for the first TCR Germany race at Hockenheim.

Proczyk claimed pole by a mere 49 thousands of a seconds ahead of Audi RS 3 LMS driver Sheldon van der Linde.

Steve Kirsch claimed grid spot number three, 0.175 seconds behind, for Honda Team ADAC Sachsen, ahead of SEAT driver Mike Halder, placed second in the championship, in fourth, 0.185 seconds from pole position.

Team Engstler driver Luca Engstler made it five different manufacturers in the top five with his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR, one thousand of a second behind Halder in fourth.

Target Competition driver Kris Richard was sixth fastest and the final driver within two tenths of a second from pole man Proczyk.

Aust Motorsport driver Sandro Kaibach was seventh fastest, with Racing One driver Niels Langeveld rounding off the top eight, four tenths from pole.

Championship leader Josh Files qualified tenth, eight tenths from the top time, in his Target Competition-prepared Honda Civic.

The first race of the weekend is scheduled for 12:00 CET tomorrow.
