Jasmin Preisig airlifted to hospital after high-speed crash at Hockenheim

Lubner Motorsport driver Jasmin Preisig has been reported as OK, after a high-speed crash in Race 1 of the TCR Germany series at Hockenheim this morning, but the 25-year-old Swiss was airlifted to hospital after it took 15 minutes to extract her from the car.

The 25-year-old Swiss was battling for 19th position with wild card driver Jaap van Lagen, who was fighting his way back up the order in his Certainty Racing Audi RS 3 LMS.

The two made contact at Turn 11, with the start of the incident unclear. Preisig hit the barriers with the rear-left of her Opel Astra, before spinning back around and hitting the barriers again head on.

The officials eventually red flagged the race, with Preisig reporting pain to her back, and was airlifted to hospital for further checks.
