TCR Middle East series revises 2018 schedule

Organiers of the TCR Middle East Series have announced a change to the schedule for the 2018 season, with one of the two planned meetings in Bahrain being dropped.

The season had been due to start in Dubai in early January before moving on to Abu Dhabi, with the final two meetings at the Bahrain International Circuit in February.

‘Logistical reasons’ have forced series promoter WSC to can the planned event in Dubai on 4/5 January, with the season now getting underway in Abu Dhabi on 18/19 January.

The event in Dubai will now run as the second round of the season a week later, with the first of the two planned meetings in Bahrain – originally scheduled for the first weekend in February – no longer taking place.

The season finale will still run in Bahrain on 23/24 February.

Josh Files is the defending champion having secured the inaugural title earlier this year.
