Mike Halder secures second consecutive TCR Germany pole

The two first TCR Germany qualifying sessions of 2018 have seen Mike Halder on top, with the Team Honda ADAC Sachsen driver claiming pole position at Most today.

The Honda driver claimed pole with the time 1:40.731, beating LMS Racing driver Antti Buri with more than three tenths of a second.

Max Hesse of PROsport Performance claimed third position with his Audi RS 3 LMS, four tenths of a second from pole.

Fellow Audi driver Simon Reicher of YACO Racing claimed fourth on the grid ahead of Opel driver Harald Proczyk, a mere 54 thousands of a second behind in fifth position.

Luca Engstler of Engstler Motorsport put his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR on sixth spot of the grid ahead of the top Cupra driver in the form of Petr Fulin in seventh position.

Michelle Halder was eighth fastest for team Profi-Car Team Halder, 92 thousands of a second ahead of fellow Cupa driver Oliver Holdener.

Theo Coicaud rounded off the top ten, thus securing the reversed grid pole position for Race 2, and was also reported to the stewards for blocking the fast lane during qualifying, a decision will be announced later.

The first race of the weekend starts at 11:50 CET tomorrow.
