Pedro Salvador claims superior victory in the second race at Braga

Pedro Salvador won the second race of the TCR Portugal season start at Braga’s Circuito Vasco Sameiro in style with Rafael Lobato close to 12 seconds behind in second place.

The Speedy Motorsport driver started second but made a better start than pole-sitter and Peugeot 308TCR driver Rafael Lobato.

Salvador was untouchable for the rest of the race, with Lobato finishing a distant second and Cupra TCR driver Francisco Mora finishing third, a further eleven seconds behind.

Mora started from the back of the grid as the team had broken parc ferme to repair his car from the incident in the first race.

Manuel Giao pitted on lap three with his Kia Cee’d due to a technical issue and retired from the race.

Francisco Carvalho crossing the line in fourth position behind the wheel of his Audi RS 3 LMS, 25 seconds from race winner Salvador. Team Novadriver José Cautela rounded off the top five a lap down.

Gustavo Moura headed in to the pits with two laps left to retire due to a technical issue with his Audi RS 3 LMS.
