Niels Langeveld takes home pole position at Zandvoort

Local hero Niels Langeveld took pole position at Zandvoort in his Audi RS 3 LMS. The Dutchman will start alongside fellow Audi driver Antti Buri, who had set the pace in free practice yesterday, with championship leader Harald Proczyk lining up third in his Opel Astra TCR.

Nürburgring race winner Dominik Fugel was the most notable driver to fail making the cut to Q2, as the Honda driver was six hundredths shy of Benjamin Leuchter’s Volkswagen Golf.

Team-mate Mike Halder will start fourth ahead of PROsport Performance’s Max Hesse. Theo Coicaud was sixth in his Hyundai i30 N TCR run by Team Engstler, ahead of Loris Prattes in the top-placed Cupra TCR. Simon Reicher will line up eighth in his YACO Racing Audi.

Luke Wankmüller finished ninth in his HP Racing Opel, with championship contender Luca Engstler taking tenth and the reversed-grid pole position in his Hyundai.

The first race of the weekend will take place today at 16:50 CEST.
