Robert Dahlgren tops final practice, but Wernersson closes
Robert Dahlgren led the final practice session at Skellefteå, but this time the PWR Racing driver was just over half a second ahead of his closest competitor, the Brink Audi of Andreas Wernersson.
Wernersson set the early pace, before Dahlgren jumped to the top of the tables with his first lap of 1:55.068.
Wernersson then closed to within 0.113 seconds before the safety car was out for much of the last third of the session, limiting the opportunity for many to improve their times.
The two PWR Racing Cupras managed to find time for one final run at the end when the green flags wee out, with Dahlgren improving to finish seven-tenths clear of Wernersson, with his team-mate Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky jumping up to fourth, one second off the pace.
Dahlgren therefore finished the session ahead of Wernersson, with Andreas Ahlberg’s Volkswagen third ahead of Åhlin-Kottulinsky and the two Audis of Tobias Brink’s and Hannes Morin.
Peter ‘Poker’ Wallenberg was seventh in his PWR Cupra, just under six seconds off the pace.
Just seven cars took part in the session, with MA:GP’s Mattias Andersson’s team en route back to Linköping to collect his spare engine for tomorrow.
Qualifying is the last activity today and is scheduled for 19:15 CEST.
