Robert Dahlgren starts Jyllandsringen weekend fastest

Points leader Robert Dahlgren was fastest in the first free practice session of the TCR Scandinavia championship weekend at Jyllandsringen in Denmark with a big margin.

The PWR Racing driver was more than three-tenths faster than his closest rival in the form of Kågered Racing driver Andreas Ahlberg.

Fastest of the new Danish entries was Insight Racing’s Martin Jensen, lapping Jyllandsringen in 1:11.657 with his Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR, over seven-tenths of a second behind Dahlgren.

Andreas Wernersson was fastest of Dahlgren’s closest title rivals in fourth position, with Brink Motorsport team-mate Tobias Brink right behind him in fifth.

Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky claimed the sixth fastest time in her Cupra TCR, with Honda Racing Sweden driver Mattias Andersson in seventh position while Hannes Morin rounded off the top eight in his Audi RS 3 LMS.

The second fastest Danish entry was Kim Lund in tenth position ahead of Team Hyundai Denmark’s rally driver Marco Gersager in eleventh.

Four-time Danish champion Casper Elgaard was 13th and last in his Honda Civic Type R FK8 TCR, over three seconds from Dahlgren’s time.

The second free practice session starts at 12:00 CEST tomorrow.
