Andreas and Jessica Bäckman join TCR Germany races at Hockenheim

Swedish siblings Andreas and Jessica Bäckman will join the TCR Germany championship races at Hockenheim this this weekend with Target Competition.

This will be the second appearance in the German championship for Jessica Bäckman who made a guest appearance with Engstler Motorsport in the races at Most earlier this year.

“Looking forward to race again and, it’s extra fun to be back and join TCR Germany again. I feel comeback hungry since last time and this competition is also a perfect preparation for Barcelona next weekend,” said Jessica Bäckman.

Her brother Andreas Bäckman will make his TCR Germany debut this weekend, currently racing full time in the TCR Europe series where he is placed ninth overall.

“It will be an exciting new challenge to compete in TCR Germany. It’s a series that is ranked high and has some top-class drivers, so it won’t be easy, but it feels good to get back out on the race tracks and to compete again. It will also be a good preparation for next weekend when we are back in TCR Europe after the long break,” said Andreas Bäckman.
