Daniel Haglöf returns as PWR Racing expand to four cars for season finale
PWR Racing co-owner and World Touring Car Cup driver Daniel Haglöf will return to the TCR Scandinavia championship for the season finale at Mantorp Park this weekend.
“We have had a strong season so far, both internationally in the WTCR and at home in the TCR Scandinavia,” said Haglöf.
“A championship final is always special and I look forward to racing in Sweden again. Mantorp is one of my favorite circuits.”
PWR Racing – SEAT Dealer Team driver Robert Dahlgren heads the championship standings ahead of the season finale, 21 points ahead of main rival Tobias Brink and 31 points ahead of Andreas Ahlberg with 55 points left to fight for.
“It feels like I have been waiting for this weekend ever since we left the last race in Denmark more than three weeks ago,” said Dahlgren.
“That Haglöf is back on track feels nice. I think I speak for both myself, Mikaela (Åhlin-Kottulinsky) and everyone in the team when I say that we have missed him this season.”
Part of Haglöf’s mission this weekend will, other than assisting Dahlgren in the fight for the drivers’ title, be for the team championship where PWR Racing is 20 points behind Brink Motorsport.
“The last couple of years with PWR Racing – SEAT Dealer Team can’t be described as anything but a success, both on and off the track,” said Per Brinkenberg, brand manager at Cupra and SEAT Sweden.
“Except for the success on track, SEAT and the sister brand Cupra has grown strong on the Swedish market. The team has been a strong and important partner during that trip and it feels exciting to enter another championship final with the shot at taking new titles.”
PWR Racing will field four cars at Mantorp for Haglöf, Dahlgren, Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky and Peter “Poker” Wallenberg Jr.
