STCC announce changes to grid and weight regulations

The STCC TCR Scandinavia organisation has announced changes to the grid and weight regulations ahead of the season start at Gelleråsen Arena this weekend.

The success ballast weight system has been scrapped ahead of the 2020 season.

The system used to award the top three drivers from each event with 20, 15 and 10 kilos respectively on top of the BOP and compensation weight systems.

The regulations for determining the grid for the races have been changed as well.

The grid for the first race will be set using the results from the first (Q1) qualifying session only.

The grid for the second race will use the combined results of Q1 and Q2.

The grid for the third race will be set using the results from the second race where positions one to eight will start in reversed order.
