Rob Huff tops final Mantorp Park test ahead of Tobias Brink

Rob Huff was fastest for Lestrup Racing Team in the final test session of the STCC TCR Scandinavia weekend at Mantorp Park.

The 2012 WTCC champion set a fastest time of 1:20.067 and was just below seven tenths of a second ahead of Brink Motorsport driver Tobias Brink, who topped the morning session.

Kågered Racing’s Andreas Ahlberg was third fastest ahead of Huff’s team-mate Oliver Söderström.

Local driver Mattias Andersson put his Honda Civic Type-R FK2 TCR in fifth position, 0.935 seconds from Huff, with PWR Racing driver Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky sixth.

Hyundai driver Albin Wärnelöv improved from the first session to finish seventh in the second session, 1.116 seconds from the top time for Experion Racing Team.

Kågered Racing driver Mikael Karlsson rounded off the top eight behind the wheel of his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.

The safety car was brought out once during the session as Brink Motorsport driver Hannes Morin beached his Audi RS 3 LMS in the gravel at the Mjölby corner and had to sit out the remaining part of the test.

Qualifying is next up, starting at 16:46 CEST.
