Daniel Haglöf steps in for Poker Wallenberg due to illness

PWR Racing team boss Daniel Haglöf will return behind the wheel in this weekend’s STCC TCR Scandinavia finale, replacing Poker Wallenberg who been diagnosed with tonsillitis.

“This really came as a surprise, Poker called me yesterday evening and informed me about his illness,” said Haglöf.

“I am of course going to try and perform at a high level, although this is a completely new car for me. But above all, we have an important task ahead of us to support Dahlgren in his title fight.”

Wallenberg has been tested for Covid-19 with a negative result and reports that he is feeling well under the circumstances.

“I feel ok, but I don’t want to infect anyone else and subject my tired body for the big challenges that these race cars entail,” said Wallenberg.

“I feel safe to hand over my Charity-Cupra to my main racing companion.”

Haglöf made a one-off appearance in the 2019 STCC finale, finishing fourth in one of the races and drove his last full season in 2018, finishing third overall.
