Tobias Brink “proud but disappointed” after losing STCC lead in finale

Audi driver Tobias Brink headed to the STCC TCR Scandinavia finale at Knutstorp with a 14-point lead but dropped to third after a difficult last race weekend of 2020.

“We headed to Knutstorp with our sights set on the title. We have been strong all year, but it just didn’t work this weekend,” said Brink.

The Brink Motorsport driver qualified strongly but could not match the pace of his title rivals Rob Huff and Robert Dahlgren in the three races that were held in greasy conditions.

“I can blame a lot of things and talk about different situations, weights and more. But to summarise, it was a really tough fight for the title where we didn’t reach all the way,” said Brink.

“I am proud over how we have performed, at the same time that I feel a massive disappointment. It’s a mix of feelings that result in an odd emptiness.”
