Robert Dahlgren nets double pole in Ljungbyhed season opener

There was no stopping Robert Dahlgren in the STCC TCR Scandinavia qualifying session at Ljungbyhed. The Cupra driver was fastest with a solid margin in both sessions and has claimed the lead of the points standings.

The PWR Racing driver beat Tobias Brink to pole in both sessions, one and two tenths separating the duo in the two sessions respectively.

The top four positions were identical in both sessions, with Dahlgren’s team-mate Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky third and Lestrup Racing Team driver Oliver Söderström fourth.

Lynk & Co driver Mattias Andersson was fifth in Q1 but dropped one position in Q2 to sixth.

Volkswagen driver Mikael Karlsson had his best session in Q2 with fifth, 0.534 seconds from pole, while he only managed seventh in Q1.

Andreas Ahlberg finished sixth in the first session but dropped two positions in Q2.

The Q2 session awards points to the championship, with Dahlgren claiming five points, Brink four, Åhlin-Kottulinsky three, Söderström two and Karlsson one.

The grid for the third race is decided by reversing the top eight drivers in the result of the second race.

The first race of the weekend starts at 10:50 CEST.
