Robert Dahlgren: “I didn’t expect such a strong result”

Robert Dahlgren has further extended his STCC TCR Scandinavia points lead after two dominant victories at Gelleråsen Arena, a result the Cupra driver says he did not expect.

“We’ve had an incredible weekend. Things have gone really well and the team has worked so hard to get back from the issues we had during the tests,” said Dahlgren.

“It’s a lot of superlatives, but I didn’t expect such a strong result from this weekend.”

PWR Racing has claimed first and second in the drivers’ championship with Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky climbing from fourth to second after three consecutive podium finishes at Gelleråsen Arena.

“It feels great, I am especially happy over my charge up the order in the final race,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky, who climbed from seventh to third in Race 3.

“I had my sights on second place, but I didn’t want to risk too much after making up so many places. To climb to second overall feels great. The team has given me the right conditions to enable this result, so a huge thanks to them.”

Brink Motorsport driver Tobias Brink, who finished second in the final race, has dropped from second to third overall, 61 points behind Dahlgren with three race weekends left of the 2021 season.
