Robert Dahlgren celebrates 50th STCC career pole position

Robert Dahlgren claimed his 50th STCC career pole position after today’s qualifying session at Anderstorp and broke the qualifying lap record by three tenths of a second.

“Everything is just working great,” said Dahlgren.

“I feel incredibly comfortable with the car, I get the tyres to work when they are just right. A big thanks to the team, I’m not doing this on my own by any means.”

Team-mate Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky made it a PWR Racing 1-2 in the first qualifying session, while she dropped to fifth in the second session.

“I’m quite happy after all the issues we had during the tests which meant I had to drive on older tyres during qualifying,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky.

“I’m always aiming for pole position, but we have still got a good position for the two races tomorrow.”
