Mikael Karlsson hit with penalty for incident with Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky

Mikael Karlsson has been given a post-race penalty of ten seconds following his incident with Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky in the third STCC TCR Scandinavia race at Anderstorp.

The two came together at the exit of Turn 1 on lap five when Karlsson tried to follow Åhlin-Kottulinsky’s team-mate Robert Dahlgren past for seventh position.

Cupra driver Åhlin-Kottulinsky went wide and dropped down to 12th position, but was able to climb back to finish tenth – a position that was changed for ninth after the penalty.

Karlsson finished the race in fifth but has been dropped to 12th position following the penalty.
