Robert Dahlgren on his third STCC title: “Pure magic!”

Robert Dahlgren claimed his third STCC title and became the most victorious driver of the championship after a dominating performance at Mantorp Park with two wins and a second place finish.

“Pure magic! I’m so happy and proud over what we as a team have achieved,” said Dahlgren.

“We have worked so hard during the winter to improve all points. We are strong in the dry, wet and mixed conditions, it does not matter. I’m just so happy, an indescribable feeling.”

PWR Racing was also crowned team champion following team-mate Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky’s victory in the third race, the third team title of the team.

“This is such a good feeling! We really struggled yesterday during qualifying and we’ve chased the first win of 2021 for so long,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky.

“And to secure the team championship now is amazing. My car was great in the final race and I was able to gain a lot of positions from sixth to first. A massive thanks to everyone in the team.”

Åhlin-Kottulinsky is placed second overall in the standings, eleven points ahead of Audi driver Tobias Brink ahead of the season finale next weekend.

“We’re never pleased until we are on top of the podium, but we’ve shown strong pace all weekend and two podiums is a solid result,” said Brink, who finished third in the first and third race.

“We’re heading to our home track Knutstorp and the goal is a race win and second place in the standings.”
