Magnus Gustavsen makes STCC return with Brink Motorsport

Magnus Gustavsen will make his return to the STCC TCR Scandinavia with Brink Motorsport for the season finale at Knutstorp this weekend.

“It’s going to be really exciting being back in the STCC after a solid GT4 season and I’m very much looking forward to race with an experienced team such as Brink Motorsport,” said Gustavsen.

“The challenge will be tough to jump into a competitive field like this, but I will do my utmost to deliver a strong result to the team.”

The Norwegian driver made his STCC debut last year for Brovallen Design, finishing eleventh overall after missing the last race weekend of 2020.

Gustavsen has raced an Audi R8 GT4 LMS in GT4 Scandinavia this year, finishing third overall.

“We got our eyes on Magnus last year in the STCC and we see a lot of potential in him,” said Ted Brink, team manager of Brink Motorsport.

“Magnus will be the last driver that we test ahead of the 2022 STCC season, an evaluation programme that has been rewarding and that we look forward to put into action ahead of the coming season.”

Brink Motorsport has alongside regular driver Tobias Brink tested Hannes Morin, Kevin Engman, Jessica and Andreas Bäckman this year.
