Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky: “We’ve fought so hard this season”

Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky became the first ever female driver to secure a top three overall finish in the STCC TCR Scandinavia, securing the runner-up spot after the Knutstorp season finale.

“We’ve fought so hard this season and taken a step forward for each race weekend, I’m so proud over what we have done as a team this year,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky.

The PWR Racing driver took her second win of 2021 in the first race at Knutstorp and fought a technical issue in the final race to finish ninth, securing enough points to beat points rival Tobias Brink.

“I’ve never been this consistent over a whole season before and the goal was to finish in the top three,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky.

“We knew that it was going to be tough, but we did it in style if I’m honest. I’m just so proud and happy.”
