Rasmus Hedberg confirms return for 2022 STCC season

Privateer driver Rasmus Hedberg will be back for the 2022 STCC TCR Scandinavia season after having made his championship debut this year with his family team FH Racing.

“It’s been an eventful but rewarding first STCC season where we have learned a lot. We are ready to take the next step forward,” said Hedberg.

Hedberg finished 12th overall this season and fifth in the junior championship, with a fifth place finish in the Ljungbyhed season opener as his best result.

The 19-year-old will continue to drive his Cupra TCR in 2022, previously raced by Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky in the STCC.

“We want to take a step forward and challenge for the top three positions of the junior championship in 2022,” said Hedberg.

“We still have a long way to go before we can challenge our toughest competitors for real, but we are working hard and there is a lot of potential still to unlock both in the car and in me as a driver.”
