ROJA Motorsport expands to three-car programme

ROJA Motorsport will expand to run a three-car programme in TCR Germany this season following Team Engstler’s switch to Honda for the new campaign.

The two teams worked in collaboration last season as Team Engstler ran a fleet of Hyundai i30 N TCRs and ROJA ran a single car for team founder Robin Jahr.

“Engstler Motorsport will face the new challenges of the Honda brand in 2022,” team boss Franz Engstler said.

“Due to this, we are very happy that the co-operation we started in 2021 with ROJA Motorsport could expand. With ROJA Motorsport, we found a partner that means the Hyundai brand will continue to race successfully.”

Jahr meanwhile said he was pleased with the news of the expanded programme.

“I am happy and proud to have such a strong and experienced partner for the the new season,” he said. “As ROJA Motorsport, we will continue to build on the collaboration started with Engstler Motorsport in the last year and with Hyundai.

“I think that we will achieve a lot together.”
