Robert Dahlgren beats Mattias Andersson in first Knutstorp test

Reigning STCC TCR Scandinavia champion Robert Dahlgren topped the three-hour Thursday test session at Knutstorp, beating MA:GP driver Mattias Andersson by close to half a second.

Cupra driver Dahlgren completed a total of 48 laps and set his fastest time, 1:00.279, on lap 28.

Tobias Brink headed a four-car Audi train with the third fastest time, 0.601 seconds from title rival Dahlgren.

The Lestrup Racing Team duo of Andreas Bäckman and Oliver Söderström claimed positions four and five, while Brink’s team-mate Hugo Nerman was sixth.

Axel Bengtsson was seventh fastest for PWR Racing, 1.3 seconds from the top time while Exion Racing driver Calle Bergman rounded off the top eight, just below 1.5 seconds from Dahlgren.

The STCC field returns to the track tomorrow at 09:30 CEST for another test session.
