Mattias Andersson tops first wet Anderstorp test at Robert Dahlgen hits trouble

Title contender Mattias Andersson topped the first test of the penultimate STCC TCR Scandinavia weekend, held at a very wet Anderstorp circuit.

The Lynk & Co driver lapped the circuit in 1:49.756 and was 91 thousands of a second ahead of points leader Robert Dahlgren who hit trouble.

The Cupra driver only managed two laps before coming to a halt with a technical issue that saw him out for the remainder of the session. His PWR Racing team-mate Axel Bengtsson could also only complete two laps before a technical issue meant that he had to sit out the session.

Oliver Söderström, who had an off-track excursion during the session, was third fastest ahead of team-mate Andreas Bäckman. But the Lestrup Racing Team duo was seven tenths of a second from Andersson’s time.

Tobias Brink was third fastest of the Audi drivers in fifth position ahead of Brink Motorsport team-mate Hugo Nerman.

Norwegian independent Marius Solberg Hansen impressed by being seventh fastest, despite never having raced at Anderstorp before, ahead of Exion Racing driver Calle Bergman.

The second test of today is scheduled for 16:23 CEST.
