Oliver Söderström strikes late to top first Saturday test at Anderstorp

Oliver Söderström moved to the top of the morning STCC TCR Scandinavia test session at Anderstorp on his very last lap, setting a time of 1:39.636.

Reigning champion Robert Dahlgren held the top spot for the majority of the session, but was beaten by half a second by the Lestrup Racing Team driver.

Söderström’s team-mate Andreas Bäckman was third fastest ahead of the Brink Motorsport duo of Tobias Brink and Hugo Nerman, 1.3 seconds from the top time.

MA:GP driver Mattias Andersson, who is placed shared second overall, was sixth fastest, a full 1.6 seconds from Söderström’s time.

Exion Racing driver Calle Bergman and MSH Motorsport driver Marius Solberg Hansen rounded off the top eight.

PWR Racing were forced to change engine on Axel Bengtsson’s Cupra overnight and the young Swede still struggled during the session today, ending up in 13th position after completing just six laps.

Volkswagen driver Dennis Strandberg was back out after a gearbox issue which stopped him from taking part in the first two test sessions, finishing the session in 11th position.

The final test of the Anderstorp weekend starts at 13:35 CEST.
