Disappointed Robert Dahlgren expects eventful Anderstorp races

Robert Dahlgren was not a happy man after the STCC TCR Scandinavia qualifying at Anderstorp which left him in third and fourth position respectively on the grid for the first two races.

“Considering our weight, the result is not a disaster, but it’s not much more than that,” said Dahlgren.

The Cupra driver’s title rival Andreas Bäckman claimed the Race 2 pole which awards points to the drivers’ championship, shrinking the gap from 28 to 25 points between the two.

Dahlgren looked set for a competitive lap in the final part of Q2, but ended the session close to half a second from pole.

“I lost a lot of time in my second attempt in one sector, something we need to analyse ahead of the races,” said Dahlgren.

“My positions ahead of the races is nonetheless okay and we’ve got some eventful races ahead of us, that’s for sure.”
