Julien Briché excluded from Misano qualifying

Julien Briché has been excluded from the FIA TCR World Tour qualifying session after failing the ground clearance check.

The JSB Compétition driver had qualified eighth but will instead start from last place in Race 1 and 12th in Race 2.

The decision promotes Ma Qing Hua to eighth, Gabriele Covini to ninth and Jenson Brickley to tenth.

Tenth place also means the reversed grid pole position for Race 2 for Brickley, unless Covini sets the fastest lap of Race 1 which would then elevate him to pole as per the new-for-2026 regulations.
