Mercedes confirms Gary Paffett for the 2015 season

Mercedes Benz has announced today the continuation of their partnership with German electronics giant EURONICS, which has been extended for next season. In the same move, Gary Paffett has become the first driver officially confirmed for 2015 by the Stuttgart manufacturer, who will be at the wheel of the blue Mercedes AMG C-Coupé DTM for the third year in a row.

Thus, the Briton is confirmed for his ninth season in the DTM, having always competed for Mercedes and, with 20 victories to his name, being the active driver with most wins in the series.

Benedict Kober, Board member at EURONICS Deutschland, is delighted with the added value from the sponsorship: “This joint cooperation with Mercedes AMG in motor racing is a great success for EURONICS. Sponsorship increases awareness of our brand and gives it an emotional dimension. Both EURONICS and Mercedes share the desire to always do their best and so, we will start the new 2015 season with that in mind.”

Wolfgang Schattling, Head of Motorsport Marketing Communications at the three-point star manufacturer, was pleased with the agreement: “We aim to develop long-term partnerships in the DTM and are delighted to continue our successful cooperation with EURONICS next year. Gary Paffett has endured a difficult season in 2014, having only one points’ finish, with an eighth place at the second round of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, celebrated in Oschersleben.
