Audi updates the RS 5 DTM for the 2015 season

Audi Sport officially opened their 2015 racing season with a welcome tour and press conference at their new Competence Center Motorsport in Neuburg.

Guests toured the new facility where, for the first time, all four racing programmes in the DTM, LMP, GT and the new TT Cup are developed under the same roof.

The Audi RS 5 DTM has been homologated since June 2014, thus freezing its development. The 2015 contender has been revised in minor details though.

Dieter Gass, Head of DTM at Audi Sport, highlighted the importance of finding room for improvement: “The RS 5 DTM has been homologated since the third race of last season, so we have concentrated on tapping the existing potential and on paying attention even to the smallest detail.”

Audi snatched the manufacturers’ title from BMW’s hands at the very last race of 2014, after a sensational end of season by Mattias Ekström. For 2015, Audi has kept their driver line up unchanged, in a bid to remain at the top through continuity and constancy.

The Neuburg manufacturer starts their title defence at Hockenheim on the 3rd of May.
