Augusto Farfus and Tom Blomqvist penalised after qualifying

BMW Team RBM’s drivers Augusto Farfus and Tom Blomqvist have received each a penalty of five positions on the starting grid for race 2, after an infringement of the Sporting regulations.

The Team RBM mechanics contravened article 25.4.2 of the Sporting Regulations, by opening the box containing wet tyres before the start of the qualifying session, this is before the Clerk of the Course declared the track to be wet.

Both of them, had a complicated session, with Farfus qualifying in 13^th place whislt Blomqvist, who went fastest with four minutes on the clock, ended up in 21^st place.

The only other driver with a penalty so far is Miguel Molina, who will start fifth after causing a collision in yesterday’s race, so the Team RBM drivers should be in the 18^th and last spots of the grid respectively.
