Mercedes shows the first draft of their 2016 DTM car

Mercedes AMG is looking ahead to the 2016 DTM season, and already has a first outline of the new C63 DTM the team will use next year.

The all new model presents profoundly revised aerodynamics and a more aggressive coupé shape. It will follow the tradition of the Mercedes C-Class, which has been the most successful car in the history of the DTM, with a record 85 victories in 159 races.

Ullrich Fritz, Head of DTM for the Stuttgart manufacturers, expects the new car to allow Mercedes to continue their winning tradition in the DTM: “The new Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupé will again set new standards for driving dynamics and design. So, the vehicle provides the ideal basis for our DTM car. I’m already looking forward to seeing the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM compete in 2016. Our aim with this vehicle is, of course, to continue the Mercedes-Benz success story in the DTM.”

Mercedes AMG lines up eight C63 DTM, divided among three teams: four for HWA AG and two each  for Mücke Motorsport and ART GP.
