BMW win 2015 DTM manufacturers’ title in the final race

BMW Motorsport has become the 2015 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters manufacturers’ champion, after the second race held at Hockenheim, host of the season finale, even though the race was dominated by Audi.

The Bavarian manufacturer scored enough points to counter the effort from Audi Sport, who placed four cars in the top five.

After the final race of the season, BMW Motorsport has 602 points, seven more than Audi, and 68 over Mercedes AMG, thus winning their third manufacturers’ crown in the four seasons since their return to the series.

This is based on the provisional result of the final race of the season, and doesn’t include any post-race penalties.
