Audi Sport to test six young drivers at Jerez

The 2016 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters preseason on-track testing starts this week at the Spanish Track of Jerez de la Frontera. Audi Sport will give six young drivers the opportunity to get at the wheel of the RS 5 DTM.

Matthew Brabham, grandson of legend Jack Brabham will be joined by New Zealander Mitch Evans, Britain’s Ben Hanley, Spanish driver Alex Palou, Frenchman Arthur Pic and Italian Antonio Giovinazzi, who already made his DTM debut in the 2015 season at the Moscow Raceway, filling in for penalised Timo Scheider at Team Phoenix.

During the ‘Young Driver Test’, the junior hopefuls will be advised and coached by Team Abt Sportsline drivers Mattias Ekström and Miguel Molina.

Audi Sport confirmed on Saturday, at their Finale gala in Munich, that will be retaining all their eight DTM drivers from 2015 for next year, for the third consecutive season.
