Felipe Massa could race in the DTM next year

Williams Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa, who will retire from the category at the end of the season, is looking at the DTM as a possibility for next year.

Sources in the paddock suggest the Brazilian is keen to remain in Europe for personal reasons, thus he’s looking at the World Endurance Championship, Formula E and the DTM as possible options. Massa has apparently already discarded racing in South America.

Asked about about the rumour, Dieter Gass, Head of DTM for Audi Sport, said to TouringCarTimes: “For now, we remain focussed on winning the championship. We will then see what we decide for the future, but we won’t make any announcements before the end of the year.”
