Mike Halder to continue in TCR Germany

TCR Germany frontrunner Mike Halder announced in an interview on the series’ website he will continue to compete in the series. The German, who will be part of ADAC’s driver support programme in 2017, did not rule out the possibility of switching to a different car, as he drove a SEAT León this season.

“I want to challenge for wins next year”, said Halder. “I have in mind a switch to a different, more competitive car. Of course being in the ADAC driver support programme will help my growth. I have a long winter ahead of me, I will work hard to improve in all areas, including my fitness.”

Halder could be joined by his sister Michelle, who raced in the German Formula 4 championship this year: “She will do some testing with my car and then we will see what she will do next year. I don’t think she will continue in Formula 4, though. We will decide in the next couple of months.”

Halder finished the 2016 championship in sixth.
