Target Competition finalise TCR Germany line-up without champion Josh Files

Target Competition has finalised their 2017 TCR Germany drivers line-up which current champion Josh Files will not be a part of.

The last addition to the their line-up of six drivers is Jürgen Schmarl who will drive one of the team’s two Honda Civic TCRs. The team will run a total of four Audi RS 3 LMSs alongside the Hondas.

”Our goal can only be to successfully defend the title in the drivers’ and teams’ championship. It will be difficult with more than 30 drivers in the championship, we need to avoid DNFs as much as possible,” said team manager Markus Gummerer.

Schmarl will drive together with Tom Lautenschlager, Tim Zimmermann, Gosia Rdest, Kris Richard and Simon Larsson.

Files has not yet confirmed his plans for 2017, although has said that he is interested in moving to the WTCC.
