British teams to run MG´s

According to Autosport there are three teams from Britain on the list to run the MG cars in the DTM. Arena International and Apex Motorsport are already in for a deal. A third team is also on the way to get the deal, but the identity of this team is not revealed yet.

“We have asked for tenders from three teams. We cannot reveal their identity, but all are British. We believe that in the first year of the programme it makes sense to have a team based in Britain,” Zytek man Trevor Forster said.

Zytek Engineering is, as we have reported earlier, building and engineering the ZT260 MG cars. No driver has yet been appointed for driving any of the cars. Despite his earlier comments on the DTM ex. F1 driver Johnny Herbert seems to be favorite for one seat. Other drivers in the line are Anthony Reid, Jeroen Bleekemolen, Timo Scheider, Thomas Jäger and Marcel Tiemann.
