MG to miss the first two races
It looks like the MG cars will miss the first two rounds of the DTM. Zytek Engineering have admitted that they have more testing work to do and that it is better for them to wait. With the rule that freezes the aerodynamic package at the beginning of the season in mind, MG wants to develop the car more.
“The rules mean that if the car is not good at the start of the season it is going to stay that way. It might make sense to skip the first one or two races and come out stronger when we do race,” Zytek chassis boss Trevor Foster said to Autosport. Appointed drivers and teams will be revealed later this week together with the final decision on when the debut will take place.
