Chilton to drive for MG
Tom Chilton is the first driver to be confirmed at MG in the DTM. Tom will drive one of the two Zytec developed MG ZT 160. At first Johnny Herbert looked set to drive one MG, but this has been called off.
“It was looking very promising with Johnny.” Zytec boss Trevor Foster said to Autosport.
“But we couldn´t quite come to an agreement in the end. Tom is now in line to be one of the drivers, but there are still one or two things to be confirmed before it is signed and sealed.”
Autosport also reports that Czech driver Jarek Janis is on the way to get the second seat. MG will miss the first two races in order to tune the cars further. Though, with the current reports of MG facing bankruptcy things are still a bit uncertain for the whole thing.
