Apologies from Kristensen and Green

Tom Kristensen and Jamie Green were both sorry after the race at Norisring. Kristensen was involved with the race winner Gary Paffet. Gary was very upset after the race claiming that Kristensen tried to push him in to the wall when slowing him down for Mattias Ekström to catch up.

“I have said sorry to Gary. He deserved the victory yesterday and I know for me that at that stage I couldn´t win the race. I slowed down a lot. It was something that I think was, let´s say, not very nice and it is not something that will happen again,” Kristensen said to Autosport after the race.

Jamie Green on the other hand managed to put his team mate Mika Häkkinen out of the race. Jamie missed his brakingpoint in one corner and took Mika with him on the way off the track.

“I´m relatively poor compared to other drivers in the DTM, so the fine does mean more to me. It´s just one of those things. It was a mistake on my behalf. Hitting a teammate is a big problem at the end of the day,” Jamie said to Autosport.

“I made a good start and tried to make the move and locked the rear wheel and tagged Mika. I was beyond the point of no return. I accept the fine and the mistake. Stewards said they were considering giving me a ten-place grid penalty for the next round so the fine is more preferable.”
