Ekström signs three years for Audi

Mattias Ekström signed a three year deal to continue with Audi in DTM. The deal came right after Audi announcing that they will continue in DTM. The plan for Ekström is to retake the title.

“I´m very happy that we are able to continue this long-term and successful relationship, especially since we have created an excellent foundation for a long-term plan with the signing of this three-year contract. I already have the next target in my sights – to reclaim the DTM title for Audi in 2006,” Ekström said.

Audi Motosport boss Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich was equally happy to keep the Swede in the team.

“Mattias is an incredibly fast and pleasant racing driver,” he said, “He fits perfectly to the Audi brand, and we are delighted that he will continue to fly the flag for Audi over the next three years.”
