Hockenheim Practice Two

Bruno Spengler was fastest in the second and final practice session of the day at Hockenheim. The Canadian impressed last year as he made very good results despite his first ever year in DTM in an older car. But this year he is in a 06 spec’ Mercedes C-Class and out paced his strong team mates Schneider and Häkkinen.

Schneider took second place just ahead of Häkkinen. Tom Kristensen was the fastest Audi-driver in fourth place while previous champion Ekström was eleventh.

But attention was aimed to Spengler during this session. Especially when his car briefly caught fire in the pit lane. But mainly as he is continuing to impress in the same team where Christijan Albers and Gary Paffett made their previous success.

Top 15 drivers were within one second during this session. Next up is free practice tomorrow morning, before qualifying.
